Jeremy Utton was editor of the “ANALYST” magazine which used this system for selecting quality shares. It is being used by the London Evening Group. This paper presents an example of its use for assessing GKN.

Title:        Consistent Earning Per Share Growth    (published 30th November 2014)   This paper is restricted to members only

Description:
This subject has been a feature of the Serious Investor for 12 years. It was started based on a study made of the share selecting techniques of seven gurus, three British and four American. Comparing their top criteria – consistent earnings per share growth – was the common factor. This paper presents a sieve based on this criteria as of August 2014.

Title:        Share Selection from FTSE 350 Momentum Shares    (published 18th October 2012)   This paper is restricted to members only

This article describes the selection of a portfolio of shares from the FTSE350 according to objective criteria. The performance of the portfolio is compared to the performance of the index as a whole over a defined period of 1.5 months. Description:
This is one of a series of papers presented to the London Central Group in recent months. Beginning with a thorough analysis of the medium-term prospects for the economy and for the financial markets, this paper goes on to propose a strategy for selecting the most resiliant assets to hold. Four sets of criteria are identified which are explored in more detail in each of the following four papers. It must be stressed that nothing in any of these papers must be construed as a recommendation to acquire or dispose of any shares.
